Starring Queen Latifah and Jada Pinkett Smith, Girls Trip is a raucous, foul-mouthed yet warm-hearted comedy about four friends reconnecting with their wild younger days.

Director Malcolm D Lee wanted Girls Trip to counteract the sometimes  negative stereotypes of black women cat-fighting their way through reality shows like Love & Hip Hop and The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Throughout Girls Trip, there’s a genuine warmth underlying the crudeness and a chemistry between the women, the kind that is often absent from films pushing long-time best friends on us.
